Someone explain the enforcement of this to me. You'd end up with a catch-22 where you aren't able to use the left lane legally. If you're going over the speed limit, overzealous cops can ticket you. If you're going under the speed limit, you're breaking this new law. What speed is allowed in the left lane?

Sometimes? This is every time. People who slowly waltz down the road in the passing lane are doing this for attention only. If you pass them, they aren't getting what they crave.

Its also a crime to break down on the autobahn. If it is by accident its a fairly minor crime. If it is by negligence....you run out of gas....it is a pretty serious offense. If your breaking down causes an accident it is really serious....they don't frick around.

Seriously, anyone wishing to grant the state even more power to frick with citizens, and using ambiguous language to establish the law, is asking for problems. I know that at least one poster took umbrage with my statement that the law in SC has only provided the police with a reason to pull some people over while ignoring others but it is the truth....I suspect that person thought I meant police would base this decision on race or something and that's not what I meant at all...it is simply a law that they can choose to apply or not as the mood strikes them....because its ambiguous. Slower has MANY meanings....if the law said the minimum speed limit in the left lane was 65 MPH for instance that can be measured...slower isn't as easy to measure. If the speed limit is 65 and one car is doing 75 and another is doing 85 both are breaking a law...but the slower one would be breaking multiple laws by not breaking one as badly as the other driver. That is fricking stupid anyway you slice it....

Yeah, but America is heavily populated with dumbass boomers who lived comfortable lives only because of large forces. These people feel entitled to do as they please, they don’t mind making you wait; they think your rage is a sign of your stupidity, even though they’re driving 57 in a 65 drag racing a tractor trailer for 12 miles. Theyre the same people that stop their carts in the middle of the aisle in a grocery store and act annoyed when you ask them to move.

Well nobody follows it now so I’ll continue keeping up with the flow of traffic in the leftt lane. If you’re pissed off becuaee you can’t cruise down the left lane at 90 unhindered then you probably shouldn’t be driving.
