Double Drive Thru... who has the right of way in this situation?

Okay, so here is a picture for you to keep in mind:
Okay, so, there are two lanes. An inside lane and an outside lane at the drive thru. They merge into one lane where you turn to pull up to the windows.
Here is the scenario:
Car 1 was in the outside lane and finished ordering right as me and car #2 were pulling up.
I gave my order quickly, and since I was done, I pulled up but had to stop in front of car #2 in the inside lane.
When he's done ordering, he honks because I didn't alternate. The person in car #1 pulled up, and then I pulled up when I finished instead of waiting for car #2.
So who is the a-hole in this situation? Was it me or car #2?

You finished ordering first, you go first. They're the jerk.

They have me my order right away.

You were right. Person done ordering is next in line, regardless of lane.

he's the a-hole, should've been quicker. alternating don't mean shite if you finish your order first

Car 2. It's not done by alternating it's done by whoever finishes ordering first. What if nobody's in the other lane? Are you supposed to wait to alternate.
That's just based on this situation though, based on your username and avatar you're probably still an a-hole.

If you finished ordering before Car 2, then you should approach the window first.

The a-hole is whoever is so damned impatient they can't wait another minute for their fast food

That is not how it works. There are sensors in the ground to know which car gets which order.

Your probably an a-hole, but at my local mcdonalds the first one to order goes first. That how the orders are done in their system so no need to screw it up.
So he would have only gone first if he ordered before you did.

You're contradicting yourself. The OP obviously finished ordering first considering he managed to cover more distance in a shorter time frame and was already in his spot when Car 2 rolled up.
To the OP... nice graphic.
ETA: I'm confused now. The OP finished ordering after Car 2? Yea, OP fricked up.

you, it goes one and one. Unless you were done way before him/
But your graphic sparks an idea for my "when is it okay to cross a neutral ground with a red light" thread.
A NOPD buddy told me it's a 30' rule. Someone else said you stop on a red light. My dad says if you take a left on green, the light isn't for you.. And I'm hijacking. But I need a diagram to explain it.

So then how am I contradicting myself? He asked who the a-hole was.

The explanation they gave in driving school was if it's one of those little mini neutral grounds and there's no sign specifically stating otherwise, you can go.

That's right, unless it's one of those big arse ones with space for like 3+ cars.
