Door Dash drops off food on your door step that you didn't order.

You don't notice until the next morning. It's been sitting in a container, in a delivery bag, untouched, for several hours.
Trash it and forget it
Try to let the intended customer know it was delivered to you by mistake, even though they'll certainly have already called it in as never delivered.
Toss it in the fridge and try it later?

No fooking way I'm eating anything sitting outside my door no matter how long it's been there, and delivered by person unknown to me.

This happened to me but I got it right away. The delivery guy dropped it off, rang the bell and took off. I tried calling the restaurant but they already closed. I did not recognize delivery name. I found out the next day who it was. Too late, I had already tossed $75.00 worth of food.

Which did lead me to some quick math... how long does food sit out, on tables at a picnic , or a tailgate? Maybe a few hours, but not 9 or 10, right?

I once had a Doordasher drop the food off at my door. Take the photo of it to show it delivered, and then picked it back up and drove off. DoorDash gave me a $50 credit in addition to the refund.

Correct. I don’t think most of us are eating a lot of 10 hour old birria off of picnic tables, tailgate tables or porches

The night air at that time was probably in the mid 70s. Cardboard serving box and a plastic delivery bag isn’t gonna insulate that near enough..
