Don't ya love how they started fundraising for Haiti before the hurricane hit?

only 5 deaths reported so far and the cataclysmic devastation that was sure to happen really didn't as it clipped the edge of the island.
However, the Bahamas is about to get pounded as the eye looks to be on a path to hit all major islands and be slow moving and should gain strength and could possibly loop around and hit them twice according to some weather models.
but not a peep for helping that country and it's one where you would want to vacation or retire.

One would think. But since they are an impoverished nation and got hit with what could have been a catastrophic storm I don't see anything wrong with raising funds to be prepared to offer if needed.

No, I'm saying that there are scammy honey holes that hit the same morons over and over again.
Some hurricane damage in the Bahamas might actually be good for me as the cost for property likely goes down and some nice tracts could be had at auctions for a good price.

Most institutions, governments, multi-national corporations, NGOs, simply refuse to give Haiti money. They'll pay for a short term clinic to be set up on its on or whatever but it's not long lasting. Influx of capital is not used to improve the country.
Now that's a justifiable argument (who would trust their money with the Haiti government) but let's not act surprised when there's not real change

Don't really care, didn't donate after the earthquake, not going to now.
However, if people want to send their money that direction, more power to them.

I swear the shite people post on this site. No one believes you're going to buy property in the Bahamas.
