Was it notorious when it was used in the filming of Hannah Montana: The Movie with Miley Cyrus, a 2022 holiday film, A Nashville Country Christmas with Tanya Tucker, and another 2022 holiday film, Steppin’ into the Holiday with Mario Lopez and Jana Kramer?
Was it's history known during those filmings, certainly.

Was it's history an integral part of the messaging of those films, no.

I don't know if Aldean knew about the courthouse, but the folks who made that video certainly took great effort to frame their message while still providing some plausible deniability.

Exactly. So it isn’t a racial song. It’s about the discord and crime. And small towns have their own issues, like drugs, but they won’t put up with Antifa or the thugs/carjacking.

Complaining because he only knows one melody and his string of worn clichés just repeats itself over and over, his "music" is shite, that does not make him a racist though.

LOL just a brilliant contribution.

Should this building be burned down by your ilk as well in the name of "justice" for things that never happened to them?

It is OK, I already have a good idea of how you think and operate. Gotta gin up that spin. Classic lawyer move and part of the problem with our society. We will never progress thanks to assholes like you.

Isn’t the song sort of like 500 other country songs written in the last 10 years? Small town values, pride in country, etc. rinse and repeat.

The problem of course is dollar general, lack of good paying sustaining jobs and education, and meth labs.

Lol, dogwhistles in songs don’t have to explicitly mention race in order for them to be racist.

Do you really want to debate a topic by taking statements out of context?

I don't think Aldean directed the video, so it doesn't matter what he knew. I think the person who directed the video knew about the history of the courthouse.

The song is about vigilantism. That's not really debatable. So why show a courthouse in the background of the video unless there is something relevant about that courthouse? The folks who made this video clearly want viewers to make certain connections in their mind.

The folks who made this video use videos and images from this country and foreign countries, and they use commercially created images. There are certain connotations they want to create, and they know this video will be discussed because its messaging is controversial.
