I was just showing the good Baton Rougean that said the entire city is a shithole that it isn't just a problem in NOLA. The entire country has a young, black, violence problem that can't be addressed without a protest.

That was true Pre-Katrina but they're are a lot of good schools with good teachers in the city now. They have shitty parents that aren't allowing their children to succeed by constantly putting them in situations to do nothing but fail. It's hard to make a 6yr old understand they have to pay attention in class and do their homework and study when they get home and have to deal with the hoodrat shite going on at home.

And FWIW, it's only a matter of time before violence in Baton Rouge reaches New Orleans levels. I can see no reason why we shouldn't expect it.

However little to no parenting. If you have no parents, no role models, and no one that gives a dern how you turn out than you start to not care yourself.
I understand what you're saying but it can be difficult for a kid to take advantage of those things when nobody else cares to show them the benefits if these opportunities are actively pursued.

oh I agree. I;m not trying to pick a fight or defend any public institution. But I will criticize the parents and individual kids who do this and cultivate the environment that disregards human life and fosters thug PsOS. You don't need to be told its wrong to kill. There's no excuse for that. (except self defense)

New Orleans Murders 2016: 175
Boston Murders 2016: 47
New Orleans is already over 25% compared to Boston's murder rate last year and January isn't even over. But yeah let's play down the situation in New Orleans because it's happening everywhere.

I know a high school history teacher at a public school in the city that told me they are forced by the higher ups to "pass" a specific number of kids each year to keep state funding. They have summer school for a number of kids so they can give them passing grades just for attending. A third of the schools senior class couldn't read at a 5th grade level or understand basic multiplication.

Check the demographics of both places, and his point pretty much stands. Except for the fact that a protest aint going to do shite to address this.

Doesn't seem to have been a robbery, witness said car rolled up fired multiple shots and left the scene. The victim was training another person who was in the car, he said no one exited the shooters car.

Boston is like 20% African American, did you purposely pick it for a comparison to New Orleans?
