I built a pretty nice dog house for my two dogs. It's filled with hay and has a porch on it. It's a pretty cozy place. They have been sitting outside in the rain and would not go in it. I dragged their old tattered igloo house out of the bushes and put it next to their new house. They went right in to the old one smh.

I should have just left them so they would eventually go in but they looked pathetic.

Battle of wills and they won. Had you not caved, they would have eventually wised up and gone in the new house. Now it's going to take them even longer to get used to the new one.

You gotta stick your finger up their arse when they are disobedient like this. They'll learn eventually.

Then why don’t you go lay in it?

Dogs are stupid animals

Get a real pet like a cat. They won't stand out in a monsoon like a dumbass

Some Floridians would argue that just a finger isn't sufficient.

Dogs definitely are some strange creatures...they would rather go into an old doghouse that smells like total arse than try something new.

Maybe leave the new house there for a while and try the transition again when the weather is a little nicer.

Should have just thrown some cheese in there, easier than dragging out the old igloo.

It happens man.

When my dog was a puppy I bought him a potty patch. That astro turf looking thing so they can potty inside so I didn't have to kennel him.

I come home after working with him on it a few times and not only was a fresh pond of piss waiting for me in the living room. Jackarse was just chilling on the patch like it was a sofa.

Operation kennel was in effect shortly there after.

So, you're saying that DOGS were standing outside in the pouring rain and their reason was to make a point to their owner?

I disagree. Dogs are way more fun than cats but cats are 10 times less work than a dog. I'm not exaggerating either. 10 times less. Almost not comparable.

I have two beautiful young golden retrievers they are spoiled. They sleep in the bed with the gf (no pics) and I, sit on our furniture and basically got it made we call then our furry children. They love to be loved and just when I feel like they really are my children, Daisy(the youngest golden) comes out the bathroom with cat litter all over her nose. Yep she ate her a cat turd/treat.

Reality check they are dogs

Dogs like familiar. They can be resistant to change. Pretty much like a lot of us humans.
