labs

well, they are, as a lot of medium and large breed dogs are, "working" dogs, and very well adapted to deal with the elements

give it baths

I completely agree, but I must say its off little help if you have an area rug, carpet, or furniture on which the dog sits. I have yet to find the method of removing dog smell from a dog and not having it effect an interior room.

sucks, cause I love having my pets with me. But its gonna smell.

We have a golden and 2 daschunds. We take the golden to be bathed and groomed once a month and the other two get a shower stall bath together. It is minimal work to keep your dogs from stinking and your house from being filthy. We pass a vacuum every 2 or 3 days. Maybe takes up 15 minutes tops. If your house stinks and has hair everywhere you're just lazy.

If youre not in, dont do it. Cuz guess who’ll be feeding it once the new dog smell wears off??

No shite. They are just weirdos. They think a pet is a human or something. No, I don’t want to see pictures of your black lab on your phone. I know what those dogs look like.

Just get a smaller dog that doesn't shed very much.

I have a Great Pyrenees (big dog) that smells if you stick your nose in its fur, but there is not a hint of a urine/poop smell in my house. Now there was before he was potty trained, but not anymore.

The biggest struggle is tracking mud/dirt/water in the house from outside as well as leaving clumps of white fur all over everything in the house.

All of that is greatly alleviated if you get something like a Beagle or Dachshund.

Bruh.............. they shed like CRAZY.

We had one about 20 years ago. We had ONE. I reiterate ONE. We'll never get another one. They are extremely high maintenance and they can't help it. That's just how they're wired. Definitely not for a casual dog owner.

My uncle had a beagle. I was thinking about getting one before the Great Pyrenees was given to me.
