I prefer my dogs over most people, and they live the the good life. That said, they don’t run loose on the beach, or anywhere else. Nor go places that aren’t pet-related. Being a responsible dog owner is important.

I only made it through the first minute or so. And the whole time all I could think of was how trashy and unattractive she was. And how I still wanted to see a tiddy pop out

LOL you're so funny. It was just an incident, not a law suit.

Agreed. That’s one reason the Caucasian birth rate is declining…. people get pets instead of having kids.

I do! WHOS A GOOD BOY!?!? Highlight of my trip every time.

And no, I don't do it. But largely because I'm lazy.

Dog people are the absolute worst.

There are so many types of people that are worse than dog people

How about all the bad airplane genres of people? Or actual bad people like murderers? Or people who yell that Jesus is sending me to hell because I am walking into a bar? Or vegans? Or people who drive below the speed limit in the left lane?

Truth.

I wonder what led to this.

No one is denying that.

You’re missing the point.

Other stats on pet ownership: LINK
quote:

Pet ownership has steadily risen in the U.S: 56% of households owned a pet in 1988, compared to 67% as recently as 2019.¹

quote:

70% of U.S. households (90.5 million homes) owned a pet as of 2022.¹

My remarks were about wondering why it is increasing. Other than the Captain Obvious remarks about dogs having a long history of being man’s best friend, do you acknowledge it is increasing, and that increase probably adds more oddities to the types of people who feel they need dogs as personal companions?

Yeah, I’m puzzled by this type of exchange people do with dogs. Can you educate me?

I might be slightly autistic and struggle to understand it. What’s the objective in expressing these words to a dog? Is it a phrase that gives you joy as you physically stimulate the dog (rub the dog’s neck or whatever else people do to dogs)?
