re: Dog Meat Trade in China

Between this and the way they pollute the environment I've never understood why Liberals love China so much. We should pull everything we got out of that country even if we have to pay a little more.

Did not read the article. But think it through. All these festivals and ceremonies came from a tradition of eating dogs. It is more warped (probably) because large numbers of China population is becoming middle class. So, they take an old custom and make it some some weird event. Money does shite things to people.

I agree. They have issues with food. It is a weird connection and it comes (again, probably) from the frequent and severe famines in Chinese history. I read somewhere that many Chinese people have mutated gene that slows down metabolism. Hence, the rapidly rising cases of diabetes in China due to the introduction of Western style fast food restaurants.
