Some cities require animal control to come out if you seek medical attention.

If you don't want the family to have to go through the hassle of that then you may need to make up a story of about a random dog.

I agree with this but also you can lift the back legs of each dog which will shutdown the fight pretty quickly. Just need two people knowing this reacting calmly and quickly.

You should have punched the dog in the fricking mouth.. He would have let go.. Its stupid to stick your hand in there.

Anytime you need to get dogs to stop fighting, next time just throw water on them.

I think he means the temp inside his house.. as in he rode it out with no heat but inside got to 52 so he went elsewhere

Why didn't you just slap the shite out of your parents' dog as hard as you can?

This. It’s in the 20’s and roads are icy. Hurts enough for me to bitch, but not enough to go to the ER.

You mustve really been caught up to think prying the dogs mouth apart from the inside was a good idea. At least noone is seriously hurt.

That finger is gonna hurt like a mother fricker for sure tho. Next time use the wheelbarrow or just put the dog in a choke hold

Damn that really sucks. I hope you can get to an ER this morning. It would really suck to end up with a monster infection that could cause serious irreversible damage to your hand and arm.

I agree with the poster who mentioned scrounging for some unfinished antibiotics until it’s safe to drive. If you found any amoxicillin-clavunate, that is the standard. Obviously you’ll need a tetanus shot too.

Don’t use any more peroxide to clean it. It can damage the tissue and delay healing. Just use water and mild soap.

The pit owner doesn't know how to properly introduce and monitor his dog when it meets another dog for the first time.

No gore pics. Went to the clinic today. Bone got crunched a bit so that’s a fractured finger. I wasn’t down for the antibiotic shot in my arse, so I’ll be getting that in pill form.

I read a story very similar to this on Facebook. Either I know you or somebody else got mangled today.
