The breed of peace is the obvious answer. you won't have to worry about it shedding because it'll probably eat you before you have time to complain.

We have two Frenchies … shedding really hasn’t been a problem . Best dogs we have ever owned . The one who stays inside all the time is the most loving dog ever. They are funny too. Will have to put wife in hospital when the 10yr old one dies

No-shed dog has been a game changer for me. No allergies, no vacuuming, no dusting, no lint rolling, house smells great. Car too.

Also remember, the shorter the hair , the more shedding, Hence the reason for not having to groom him/her. Maltese is considered best if any allergies is an issue. Great dog.

You and I seem to meet this way in every dog breed thread, so I was waiting for you to pop in. No. I can’t afford one my two large dogs take all my money.

I’m just speaking from the hearsay of many vet and vet tech friends. I’m sure yours were responsibly bred and are overall healthy. Not the case for a lot of them.

The 15YO was.

True. Thats how we got the newest one. Adopted her when she was taken by animal control from the previous owner. But she cleaned up nicely with minimal effort and has very few health issues today. Other than when she eats horse shite/sweet feed and gets bubble guts But all of my dogs make that mistake. Often.

just go adopt one Aspy! You would be so smitten with one, you wouldn't believe it. Most loving dogs I've ever owned.

I have a wheaten and can confirm they are great non-shedding dogs. They are not common which is great because they haven't been overbred nor do they have the health problems that come with that. Super friendly (sometimes too friendly). Very play/praise/treat driven so not too hard to train. They really want to please you. They need to get their energy out though. Once they get exhausted (1-2 hours of sprinting around the dog park), they are super chill for the next 3 or 4 days.

We shave him down 3-4 times a year just to keep things easy. If you are gunna keep their hair long, you will need to brush them at minimum once a week to prevent matting. We have a 16 year old aussie/collie mix along with our wheaten. After having a wheaten, my wife said she is never getting another shedding dog.

great dog but they get respiratory problems. Go to Companion off LSU and walk them all. Pick the one you want. Mine checked all the boxes and she's great.

We have a Jaqd Terrier. He sheds but not alot. Best dog I have ever had. Friendly, great with kids and has superman like hearing. He knows when the neighbors cat is in the yard without seeing it. He looks like a mini rottweiler.

Golden Doodle...smart, doesn't shed,(as long as they have more poodle traits)

But you have the drawback of owning one of the ugliest dogs to ever walk this fricking planet

Sure, they’re great dogs that don’t shed and have good temperaments, but who the frick thought it would be a good idea to take one of the most majestic, beautiful breeds (golden retriever) and breed it with one of the ugliest dogs I’ve ever seen (a poodle)?? Gross

For reference:

Dachshunds. They’re going to shed but it’s minimal compared to most dogs.

Plus wives skeptical of getting a dog fall in love with these little fellas. Give it a week and the dachshund will train your wife.

Boston Terrier!! I've had two and they are the best! Great personalities, hilarious, but also super cuddly and loving!

I volunteer with a French Bulldog rescue and they are so prone to health problems...it's really sad. I would recommend planning financally for health problems down the road with a Frenchie...hopefully it's not needed, but if so you are prepared. So many end up in rescue because their owners just can't handle it.
