One of ours was 12 years old and was diagnosed with cancer and we kept her breathing comfortably for another month using steroids but once she was struggling to breathe, it was the only right decision. Cooked her a big arse steak the night before but it wasn’t easy. I cried like a baby the whole drive to the vet.
