At least he can muster a coherent sentence without a Teleprompter, unlike the last president.

Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.

I am not a democrat. Registered republican, consider myself independent. It's just that when i hear something, I try to find out if it is true or not before I decide to believe it.

What political talk radio shows do you listen to?

You voted for Obama because he was likeable. You definitely aren't a Republican. You are the worst type of voter imo. Judging a candidate on his likeability vs policy is ridiculous. He'll never be your friend. All that matters to you and I is policy.

It’s possible in his old age his eyesight is poor? It’s not uncommon for people 70 yrs old to have trouble reading text due to debilitating sight

i dont think a multi billionaire president has trouble reading

It's not that he doesn't know how to read. He obviously has the ability to do so, but if you don't think he looks uncomfortable at times when he is reading from something, while giving a speech then you must be convinced he does no wrong.

It is known that he doesn't like to read.

This is just one article about his lack of willingness to read.

quote:

“He didn’t process information in any conventional sense,” Wolff writes. “He didn’t read. He didn’t really even skim. Some believed that for all practical purposes he was no more than semi-literate.” Wolff quotes economic adviser Gary Cohn writing in an email: “It’s worse than you can imagine … Trump won’t read anything—not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers, nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored.” While Trump and his allies, as well as some mainstream journalists, have attacked the accuracy of Wolff’s book, Trump’s allergy to reading is among the most fully corroborated assertions Fire and Fury makes

an lsu grad is shitting on someone's intellect who graduated from an ivy league school

He graduated from The Wharton School of Business, which is part of Penn (an Ivy league school), but is it seperate from the rest of the university?

Either way, I am sure his dad helped him get through (of course I don't have anything to back that up, I am just basing it on the fact his dad was known for pulling strings to help his son out out.. Like the whole draft thing),,

quote:

The podiatrist, Dr. Larry Braunstein, died in 2007. But his daughters say their father often told the story of coming to the aid of a young Mr. Trump during the Vietnam War as a favor to his father.

He did say uhh especially in his first few years, but he did improve on it.. But come on man, Letterman would exaggerate things..

He use to do the same with GWB. I admit, it's funny, but Trump is really awkward. When he is talking to a smaller group of people (opposed to being at a rally when he yells and makes shite up as he fills out the crowd) it's cringe worthy.

You can tell he doesn't get briefed.. Or at least doesn't listen to the whole briefing because he will make inaccurate comments.

But there are some people who will think he does no wrong. It happens with every president. There will be supporters who think that person doesn't no wrong, that's just how it is.. But he is really awkward.

I vote for who I think is best for the country. And part of that includes perception because I don't put much stock into what they say while campaigning. They all are full of shite and they support whatever policies they have to, to get elected. Like GWHB. He ran on "no new taxes". That was a big part of what got him elected, but in reality, at the time higher taxes were inevitable. I vote on what president I think will be able to make the right decisions in high pressure situation.

I don't want a government that is ran on one of the two political platforms. That's not what this country was founded on, it was founded on compromise and different ideas working together to come up with something that has balance.

frick it, it's too late to be thinking about this.

The two most intelligent people I have known in my lifetime read, neither read a single book once they finished their education, and only read what was absolutely necessary for their jobs. One had a degree in mechanical engineering from Yale, and was a Mensa member, the other graduated from the Air Force Academy. My kids are the same way, one reads probably a hundred books a year, the other never since college, there is no apparent difference in their intellect, the amount of stuff they know, and they are equally successful at what they do.
