The one thing I would always begrudgingly give Obama was that he was a charismatic guy who was well spoken, though he relied VERY heavily on teleprompters. That being said, he did do well connecting with people in unscripted settings. Trump is just painfully awkward in those situations, either because his team hasn't briefed him well enough, he's just not good at it, or something else.

Easy to speak when you are reading from a teleprompter. Not that hard

Not so sure about that

This is painful.

You are trolling, right?

He can barely speak a complete sentence without a teleprompter.

So overusing a filler is worse than speaking gibberish, WHILE using a teleprompter? Did you not watch the video I linked?

That's the problem, there was he teleprompter and he quit reading off it, there are probably hundreds of similar videos, if he tries to talk off the cuff he quickly becomes almost incoherent.

At least he can muster a coherent sentence without a Teleprompter, unlike the last president.

Oh Sparky.

quote:

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

Obama was a boss on teleprompters and weak without them.

Trump is the opposite.

Have you seen Trump speak WITH a teleprompter? Off of one he's even more awkward.

When you take your heads out your asses & actually listen to what Trump says, he doesn’t make a lick of sense. Ever.

Not only one of the worst presidents ever but easily the worst speaker. Easy.

Obama who is so much more articulate recently offered this without the aid of a prompter.

"Climate change, we're going to have to come up with some new technologies to solve the problem as much as we need to." "Although even on something like that, right now I could take off the shelf existing technologies, we could reduce carbon emissions by let's say 30 percent, without any, you know it's not like we would have to go back to caves and you know live off, you know, fire."

"We could have electricity and smartphones and all that stuff which would buy us probably another 20, 30 years for that technological breakthrough that's necessary," "The reason we don't do it is because we are still confused, blind, shrouded with hate, anger, racism, mommy issues."

Glad to know my smart phone will delay climate change, makes Ocasio Cortez actually seem a lot smarter.
