Grammarly and ProWritingAid for the win...

I see run on sentences and poor grammar Unofficial corporate communications, press releases, media. But spelling is usually pretty solid for the most part.
I was a freshman your adjunct at a local college and most writing was on the junior high level. It’s all about STEM - no one thinks that writing skills will move you ahead in life

As my attorney always says, "however comma"

Fools on here are a joke who don't know when to use basic words like their/there, two/to, hear/here and many more 3rd grade words. I love reading kids posts on here. Ignorance is one thing but dumb is the norm on this site.

Spelling, grammar, presentation, and being able to work a keyboard all matter. Why should I expend a lot of extra effort to decipher a wall of text, misplaced commas, and other mistakes? One or two items in a paragraph generally doesn't matter too much. But some people can't write a single sentence without a couple errors. I stop reading immediately when I notice these things.
You aren't very good with commas. You don't need one after the word "presentation" and "commas" because the word "and" is in it's place. Just saying.

No problem. Glad I could help. The first time it's free but I must charge you for my experience the 2nd time you mess up. I charge 2 cents lol.

I’ve come to rely on autocorrect too much

I can overlook misspelling and bad grammar on social media posts but they are unforgivable in a professional setting. Just because the news is usually read online these days doesn't mean it can skip the editing process. Young editors relying on autocorrect can be blamed for much of that.

I was messing with you, of course. I had just read the famous Twain passage about grammar, and it felt ironically appropriate.

This. I finally opted out of that cesspit of endless selfies and half-assed blurbspeak.

eta: the commas you refer to are known as oxford commas, and since they are optional, they are not really incorrect.

Anyone that needs such things should have the right to vote stripped from him. It's utterly pathetic that people can't compose simple letters, memorandums, documents, and so forth, without such tools.
