Is it anymore credible that intelligent people believe in magic when its proven magic is just slight of hand and misdirection?

If hell does exist, it will be filled with as many folks that lived religiously as it will be those that live as atheists. Maybe more.

Nah. Everyone has to make their own decisions in life.

When it's a member of your own family (like your kids) it makes it tougher since you're worried about their eternal future. But if you've done your best to share your faith with them and they still decline, it's their choice and they'll have to deal with any potential repercussions.

How someone can believe that there’s no higher power than themselves is simply ignorant in my opinion. I happen to be a Christian, but my beliefs aside, to not believe there’s anything out there and you just turn into dirt is shortsighted and extremely narrow minded and naive in my opinion. So No, I don’t like atheists.

Everywhere you look in nature there is order. Order doesn’t happen by chance.

My father died or Pulmonary Fibrosis., agent orange in VN which the govt never recognized.

My mother died of Parkinson

My sister is at MD Anderson right now.

You can under stand why I pray, and why I don't believe at the same time.

That's fair.

I hadn't considered the subtlety of wearing a small cross on a chain, or stopping to give thanks before a meal.

Instead I thought of how there's people I know who wear things like this just to frick with Christians

I am borderline, so what's your point? Show me the evidence that there is heaven and hell. The difference is people like myself dont go around flaunting their own religious beliefs towards others. You have yours, I have mine. For the record, I was catholic, till the age of reason came around. 18 or 19.

Proverbs 3:7, “Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”

Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

How many people have you seen do that? Bet I’ve seen more Christians carrying signs condemning people to an eternity of hellfire by at least an order of magnitude, if not two.

Not really. Being within any school of thought simply requires you to decide you are that.

Some are and some aren't if you mean how they act towards others.

That is a strange blanket statement. I don't believe there is a critical thinking requirement to become an atheist or a Christian, Muslim, Jew or any other religion. Some may become atheist because they put thought into the reason to not believe while others may not believe just because they don't want to believe. Same with those that believe.
