no, it can't be contradictory at all. Your finite mind simply is wrong.

quote:

it condemns sin, but says Jesus died for everyone’s sins.
Christ's death only covers the sins of those who accept his death as substitute for sin. He said many will come to him who thought the were saved, and his response will be "depart from me.....I never knew you."

As far as the OP, abortion is absolutely forgivable according to Christ. People go to hell for rejecting Christ.

Who believes in hell? Abortion is legal. Maybe if you’re a cultist you worry about such silliness.

Exactly, I assume neither of us sit around and think our actions right now have any consequence in eternity. We don't sit around and ponder an eternal existence.

I can only speak for myself here: nothing in me believes there's any divine perfection to the world or our existence. Moverover, I don't understand why anyone that chooses to believe in a religion can't just take my word: I do not believe I'm part of whatever devine order it is that you believe.

I have no idea why these are such difficult terms to agree to or why it's at all complicated. However, it does lead us to different conclusions than about abortion.

I believe it's the woman that has to endure the pregnancy and raising the child. Do I bear some responsibility? I have two kids that are my primary obligation in this life. My ex wife and I decided to have our children. However, that was something my wife and I worked out.

If she had decided she couldn't be a mother and didn't trust me to be a father, that she wanted to terminate the pregnancy, I would have respected her choice. Why is it so important for the state to be involved in our decision?

For Christians, I do understand and respect that this is a decision that has eternal consequences for you. I don't want the state to ever be allowed to come in and force you and your wife to terminate a pregnancy.

Don't have abortions. Let my wife and I decide what we want our future to look like. If we can just agree to disagree about the morality and not get the state involved, abortion problem solved.

Let's move on to the bigger problems that we're both going to be forced to face at some point.

I agree with your points about personal decisions however I believe your mental compass is flawed.

I do believe in laws as well. I believe that abortion is murder and therefore shouldn’t be allowed in a lawful society.

You can’t prove something doesn’t exist. You can, however, prove that something DOES exist.

Care to show me this heaven or hell?

If abortion = murder and is stated in law, then who carries the burden? Obviously if it was forced by someone, then it’s a different situation.

I am 100% ok with my flawed mental compass. I won't ask you to believe something that you don't believe, just let my immortal soul to go to hell and stop believing there is some soul inside me that will one day see the light of God.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT IS TRUE. Nothing will ever convince me that it is true. I assume that you'll never stop believing in whatever it is you believe. It works for you and I think that's great. Let's both handle our business and we're cool.

Just because it is a moral issue doesn't mean it should be a law. People will still find ways to have one, if they really want to get one.

People who decide to get them are the ones who have to live with it. Also different people have different views towards it so I don't see why the government should have a say into whether or not a woman can have an abortion.

Don't believe in the afterlife. If I did, he is culpable. Like lying, through omission.

Only the fetus goes to hell bc it wasn’t baptized. The parents go to reconciliation and then heaven.
