I just saw a girl that I went to high school with posted an entire photoshoot of her and her husband announcing that they were going to have a child.

Why the frick does that constitute spending most likely hundreds of dollars for some cheese dick photoshoot?

Seems to me that they're gonna be wanting those hundreds of dollars back once they realize how much diapers are gonna cost.

Because they wanted to. Calm the frick down.

You seem unusually salty over this. Did she turn you down back in the day?

Are you their financial planner? If not, why do you care?

Photographers have bills to pay too.

No, she's a nice girl and all. Just think it's kinda ridiculous.

My friend did get a hummer from her in high school while she had pigtails and acted like he was riding a bike.

Maybe they had trouble conceiving and they wanted to announce it in a really nice way to be proud of?

It doesn't take hundreds of dollars to put together a "shoot." Anyone with a DSLR camera is more than capable of taking high quality pictures. But the OT hates everything, so...

No, but in some people's eyes every is worthy of attention in some capacity. That's why people flock to social media to post this and share that. Most of them crave validation of some kind for the most mundane and unimportant bullshite imaginable.

Parents these days need to calm the frick down with baby showers, gender reveal parties, photo sessions, and everything in between.

I understand that it's the miracle of life and you are proud to know that your egg and his sperm were able to miraculously come together to create and form this organic being that is now growing inside of you...but chances are your kid will grow up to be an unimportant little shite that is no different and no more special than the average a-hole walking around.

Everything amazing and wonderful about childbirth and pregnancy seems to be undermined by the excessive number of abortions, premarital/teenage births, and ever-growing families of people who lack any form of responsibility, education, or self-awareness to know that it's time to either close your legs, get fixed like an animal, or become celibate.

Maybe I'm just cynical, but it seems to have lost its luster.

If you get a professional (which I'm sure this couple did, for the *prestige*) it will cost hundreds of dollars.

Oh well... I mean it isn't unusual for people to have photoshoots for things like this. Does anyone else remember Ole Miss girl?

I guess what I'm getting at is, why have the photoshoot and put it on Facebook or Instagram when 95% of the people you're friends on there don't give a shite? And why not instead just mail them to family members, close friends, people that actually care you're pregnant.
