Parade Postponed according to Steve Caparotta of WAFB

quote:

JUST IN: Saturday's Wearin' of the Green parade in Baton Rouge has been postponed. It is a *postponement* at this point and parade organizers wanted to emphasize that it is not a cancellation. Future dates under consideration.

I mean it's pretty much common sense at this point it's not happening, big events not happening around country and Nola and a huge parade is going to go down in Baton Rouge where LSU has already limited their events? Come on, I hate it because such a fun day but this not going down, start figuring out what you going to cook this weekend instead.

I'm thinking maybe a giant pan of lasagna. You know, because Irish food sucks.

Shepherd's Pie and Corned Beef are fricking delicious if you know how to cook at all.

Hmm. I haven't had that in forever and I wouldn't mind having some in the freezer. I'll allow a variance and may make that instead.

So what, we're going to have St Pattys in July? I mean I love an excuse to get fricked up more than anyone, but that seems like a weird solution unless you already spent all the money and can't offer refunds.

Dang, that would be cool. Should 100% be at night if its in the summer... Hopefully they can do something in May.

May evening/nights aren’t bad. Get the parade rolling around 6 and it will be fine.

The only issues is people would be absolutely hammered drunk

Pat Shingleman is an expert meteorologist, he’ll pick the perfect weather for the parade
