Apparently it is still a real thing. I googled and saw that a company named earthlink still offers it.

Yes you can still get dial up. It has more market share than you think - about 2 million people.

have a high value customer that still uses dial up, uses same phone line for his office, drives me crazy but he is the customer, it's all about the customer...

Lots of rural areas have no broadband access, so yes, you can still get dial-up. For a lot of people, it is the only option.
