Does anyone know why this plane flying a grid pattern over Tangipahoa parish for.

I’ve been seeing this plane fly a east to west pattern over our area for the last few weeks. It’s always at night. I looked it up on Flight Aware last night and it is a Beachcraft KingAir owned by the State of Louisiana. It is based out of BTR.
Looking at the flight history they have been running grid patterns from all over the EBR, Livingston, Tangi, and St Tammany parishes. This was last nights track from Flight Aware.

I’ve never seen a KingAir set up as a mosquito sprayer but I guess it’s plausible.

It’s a Department of Transportation plane. It’s not spraying for mosquitoes.

If it’s a DOTD plane, then it’s probably flying LIDAR missions to generate terrain models for flood modeling.
