Even if he did, UNO has some decent programs.

I rarely will attend a high school game anymore, but the Jesuit vs Brother Martin game is a good time. Probably one of the better high school game atmospheres in the state for regular season match ups.

When was the last time Jesuit won a state championship in football?
Hint: it’s a trick question because if you know the answer you’re already pathetic and need to move on with your life.

I love how you post that without any sense of irony.

Very entertaining thread.
JHS grad here, and parts of me are on each side of this argument. First of all, I thank my parents for sacrificing to send me to private HS.
I had many friends that had to work through their time at Jesuit. Not all of the students there have silver spoons.
I can tell you that I am not a fan of a large portion of my class. Old family money is one thing, but to brag about it makes you a douche. I am told regularly that people cannot believe I went to Jesuit.
Conversely, the jealousy towards Jesuit is comical. I know people from other schools that are douche bags, does not mean an entire school is made up of that one type of person. I am proud to have graduated from there, but it is not what drives my life.
And to the OP, I love that fact that you do not want to talk to me. As I have gotten older, I realize that I don’t like more and more people. You made my life just a bit easier. Thank you, sir.

Nah it’s not even close in Houston. Some Kinkaid people are super proud because The Bush family attended etc. and there are some Kinkaid douches but even the wealthiest schools (Kinkaid, St Francis, St Johns, river oaks baptist) do not carry it with them like it’s their most important thing in life. People in Houston ask where you went to college that’s about it. If someone asked where you went to school and you said your high school they would think that’s weird.
The reason is probably that Houston is a major city with professionals from all over the world working at major firms, medical centers, private equity etc. It’s not a bunch of folks stuck in one city measuring dicks their whole life.

I don't recall saying that, if you possess an un-Jesuit level of humility, I am happy to talk to you. I too no longer suffer fools gladly, I just hate being asked by an 80 y/o what HS I attended. Only Jesuit boys do that.

That kind of thing does not bother me per se, but it is very telling of the person I am talking to. I immediately know how to deal with/talk to him

this is just simply not true. it's any school in new orleans. i agree it's bizarre but it's something unique to the area and it's impossible to explain unless you experienced it firsthand.

False.
Do you still have your Jesuit rejection letter or have you thrown it away yet? If you still have it, you may want to toss it. Just let it go. You’ll feel better.

Too bad Andouille wasted a cool username by being an old boomer douche.

quote:baw, I don’t know what to tell you, but Jesuit makes shirts every single year that say ‘The rivalry” on them for the holy cross game. It’s their largest attended game of the year, and the largest school sponsored tailgate. Maybe you do not consider it a rivalry, but Jesuit certainly does
f you know you know how retarded you sound. No one from Carrollton and Banks is worried about Holy Cross. Lol

Fuk that!!!!! When Jesuit loses a game....to anyone, this Holy Cross grad smiles.
Likewise if you are a true CHS fan you would delight on that rare occassion when you would accidentally beat HC
BTW in the early to mid 80's while at HC for 6 years (middle school) we only lost once and that was in 8th grade. I hated those guys and I took particular delight in 1984 when we deprived them of an undefeated season, then came back and humiliated them again in 1985 with Wally English's kid at QB.
Don't get me started on HC/Jesuit. I know my friends who played at Jesuit are still " perturbed " that from 82 - 85 they got owned by us.
