Nope. They super helpful with coupons when needed, or phone calls to the doc for a possible substitution or whatever. The owner even went on a Sunday once to get a medicine that we needed for my daughter.

Paying only $4 for a prescription is trashy.

All the damn time. I use CVS. I'll get automated notifications that my prescriptions are ready for pickup, and then I'll go to get them, and they haven't even been filled. WTF?

I use Walgreen's thru the interwebs, it's ready before I can drink my coffee.

I order from Canada. Its 1/3rd the cost and I never have to leave the house.

There's something about walking into a pharmacy and having them hand over bottles filled with all those nice white pills, each pill scientifically formulated and manufactured for my indulgence, packaged for my convenience--well, there's something about this that quite appeals to me.
And then there's the pharmacy environment: spotlessly clean and cheerful, with a Chad & Jeremy or Herman's Hermits song floating over the PA ...
... and those Chinese or Hispanic female pharmacists, in their little white coats and glasses (that you fantasize about turning into sexual she-devils as you ply them with narcotics) ... giving you your plastic bag of narcotics with the inevitable "Do you have any questions about these medications?" to which, in your cheery state of mind, you consider responding "Yes, I do have a question: why don't you and I go to my house, scarf a bunch of these narcotics and spend the next two days having a drug and sex orgy?"
Long story short, the pharmacy ritual, for all the squareness of the vibe and the people, is one of the more agreeable aspects of daily life.
And for $4 a bottle? I'll take it!

A friend of mine told me CVS calls his cell phone ALL the time. He said he will go pick up a prescription, 10 mins later he gets a call telling him he has a prescription ready for pick up. I am not sure if he was exaggerating, but he said they will call at random times, when he doesn't even have or need a prescription. Its a automated system call.. but according to him, they never call when they need to call.

The CVS pharmacy at Jefferson/Bluebonnet is worse than AIDS

Sometimes they get thrown off schedule, like when the doctor writes the Rx wrong and cannot get clarification.
Sometimes there's a hold up with insurance coverage.
Best thing to do is to go hours after they say it will be ready.
Multiply the above times all the people on medication getting Rx monthly.

Every time I would get a prescription filled when I went to walmart, it was the same shite, they would tell me it would be ready at a certain time, when I would go pick it up it was never ready, I would always have to wait 20-25.
If a pharmacy doesn't have text alerting capabilities when a prescription is ready, I don't use 'em. It's 2016, not 1916...a pharmacy should utilize technology/text alerts.

The CVS pharmacy by me opens only runs from like 9-5. Huge PITA. They also skimped me on my seizure meds a couple of months ago and refuse to acknowledge they did.
I'd switch to a 24hr one if there was one remotely close

you probably fit right in at wal mart, so keep going there

My local always has mine ready in 5 mins, I don't even bother calling. Last time I waited I ended up buying an Incrediwear ankle sleeve near the counter, it pretty much took away my lingering ankle pain. Well worth the wait!

There's your problem. Walmart is the McDonald's of supermarkets.

Look, I don't go to walmart because I like to. In fact, I don't go there unless I completely have to. Yall stop acting like yall are so much above everyone who enters a walmart. At least I am not someone who lets what other people think, control how I live.

Yeah Chris, he is right. It's a disaster. I only use them because they are the closest to my house. If I had a closer option you can bet I would use it.

Seriously, find you a local maw-n-paw operation pharmacy (be sure to stop and chat at least a week before refills needed the first time)and just tell the guy what monthlies you need, you'd like to switch...hand over yer ins. cards and let him open a file on you. Should only take 15 mins to be sure he can have your shite on order and there when you need it.
I did this for my father...then my family...for 8 years straight, never had to wait more than 15 mins for ANYTHING...only drawback, I had to pick up before 6pm or 1pm on Saturdays. Not a problem if you plan for it.
Stay away from Corporate Pill Pushers. They could care less about you, your convenience, or preventing their automated retard from blowing up your phone for shits and giggles.
There's always plenty of dumbasses that think they HAVE to use 'em.
Let 'em.

Trashy people aside, their workers are some of the worst I have encountered when shopping at stores. Their produce also sucks. Not a lot to offer when other stores do the same with better service and products.
