I remember in the late 80's/ early 90's Coke had a pull top contest with McDonalds during the Summer. I believe you'd win fries, shake, Big Mac etc.

Scruffy, you remember back in the really old days there was a package of cigarettes (forgot brand) that you could pull the seal of the top and look under for whatever prize there was. I don't remember what type of prizes there were, but remember picking up the discarded packs in the parking lots and flipping the seal up.

I was doing an internship at Coke's PR agency, Cohn & Wolfe, when the Magican promotion was going on. IT was a nightmare. More folks were pissed about winning than any contest you could imagine. People were avoiding the newer packs with the prize chance in some stores. They ended it after a few weeks.

I remember either sprite or 7-up had one where we could look through the bottle and tell in advance if the cap was a winner or not. The prize was usually a free drink so I only had to buy one and I could always use a winning cap to get a drink the next day.

I once opened a snapple Strawberry Passion Awareness in the 90's and the bottle cap told me that Epstein will never kill himself.

Its been discussed.
I dont remember that but the fact that there wasnt actually any coke in it would probably piss me off as well.

I won a few cokes but that's all. I do remember that it was important to look under that cap first before getting anything to drink.

One I recall was making the sentence sorta like: "Coke the Real Thing" from bottle caps. Find "Real" was the one they didnt give. Musta had about 100 "Coke the Thing" sentences made.

I remember one in the mid 80’s where you had to spell out certain words, I think it was the “k” in coke that was hard to find. Well, I found it and one a t-shirt and was entered into a prize for $100k. Man, I was dreaming about what I was gonna do with all that loot. Didn’t win.
