Especially bad when a really indecisive ahole has been dithering over how many of each color scratch ticket they need, finally finish the transaction, and discover they have another $2 in the other pocket.

I pretty much hate everyone and anytime someone is in front of me in line. I hold it in though

Yep. Usually involves some fcked up decision on which swisher sweet style smoke they want or what scratch offs they are getting.

I watched a young man fork over several crumpled bills and a pile of change to pay for a six-pack of cheap beer and pack of Newports.
The liquor store clerk counted it out and shoved some of it back, which delighted the young man.
He looked at his large lady-friend and asked, "What that gum you be liking?" "Juicy Fruit," she replied.
He shoved the change back and told the clerk, like a boss, "Gimme 'bout fo' fi' pack of that Juicy Fruit gum."
The best part was the big girl's smile. She was happy that her man was providing.

None of this is worse than getting stuck behind coupon czars in a grocery store where they are unloading 50 coupons all at once.

Probably got lucky on the way home. Hope he knows how to get gum off his thing.

I don’t shop in quickie marts. They are gross. Clientele is gross. The products are usually gross too. This is why they have credit card readers at the pump.

I don’t go into grocery stores.
I have a wife.

Why do people get so worked up about such petty things. Is life that really that miserable that you let things like this get to you?
You mean not wanting to spend unnecessary time in a convenience store because someone forgot to get something they wanted. You mean getting worked up about others who think their time is more valuable than ours?
Guess it doesn't bother you when you are at the grocery store and the person in front of you decides they need to get a gallon of milk at the back of the store and send someone in their party to get it while being rung up, which takes 3-5 minutes.
If that's what you mean then congrats on the retirement.
