If despising trash who have no morals, and are dangerous & worthless to society makes me a racist, then I'm a racist.

Any person who's not like that, is ok by me.

80% of white people in Louisiana are just like this. I see no problem with calling them POS too.

I'm an equal oppurtunity a-hole.

The funny thing is, they think all white people are scared of them. If you attack them, you’re the racist animal. Lmao

No kidding, I took some friends from cenla to the LSU game. They were shocked I didn’t order etoufee or something Cajun at chimes because “we were in Baton Rouge”

We walked by a guy giving free cracklins samples and one guy didn’t want to try any. His ole lady says “we are in Baton Rouge you better try those cracklins”

Yeah this didn’t happen.

Why would I make that ridiculous shite up? I have nothing to gain from that story. I’m embarrassed of my friends if anything.

I left Baton Rouge for Lafayette. I left Lafayette for Houston. I left Houston for Austin.

I have progressively stepped up. Baton Rouge is without a doubt a top 5 worst places to live in the entire county IMO.

Get out man. Get out.

Haven’t read this whole thread, but if it’s anything like every other BR thread, I get the gist.

Seriously, if you don’t like where you live, move. The whole “well all my family lives here” is BS. It’s a weak excuse for people to not make a change. Planes exist, FaceTime exists, and you can in fact live away from family and friends and still have a high quality of life.

I have zero issues with people wanting to remain in BR (or whatever their home town is). Whatever makes you happy, go for it. But the excuses of “I would move EXCEPT...” drives me crazy.

100%. Saying your town sucks and not leaving is a giant loser move. If you don’t like where you live, it’s mostly because of you.

The northshore is nice if you can work from home or on the northshore. Screw crossing that 24 mile bridge twice per day into Nola

Yes. It's awful. I would move to Colorado but I need to near my elderly parents.

Find a job that will let you get there early and leave early.
Or just leave early and suck it up on the way home. I would just deal with it if my family lived in Louisiana tbh. I am a part of the “family is everything” crowd. If you are blessed to have a great family then you should do everything you can to be near them. My family kind of sucks but I still don’t want to leave my part of the states because of family.

There’s more to do in Baton Rouge than a person could ever get around to doing. Nine months out of the year, you always have an interesting sporting event on the week’s schedule. There are more than enough good restaurants to prevent dining out from becoming repetitive. Sprinkle a little theatre and comedy downtown, and you have a fine town if you want it, and not far from great places to fish and hunt. Not to mention a city 90 miles east with an NBA team, NFL team, and every major touring musical act, should you want to take a mini-road trip with a couple pals or your girl.

If you think you can get more bang for your buck somewhere else, go for it; can’t argue with that.

If you’ve been the victim of crime and want to be somewhere where you’ll feel safer, go for it; can’t argue with that.

But if you think Baton Rouge is boring, it’s specifically because you are a bore.
