Does anyone believe the viral stories that people post on Facebook?

I just saw a post that was shared by a friend. This guy is saying he was at the Millerville Target and had a guy approach him in the parking lot. Next thing he knew, the guy was in his truck and pointing a gun at him. Of course, the video on surveillance was "too blurry".

Do you ever really believe things like this or do you look at it as a cry for attention? To me, if something like happened, wouldn't it be on the news? It very well could've been but I've been out of town and wouldn't know.

That story, along with every other vital story that gets shared, is one of the many reasons why Facebook is awful now.

More (urban) legends have probably been born in the past 20 years, than of all before.

No, no, no. It happened at the Mall of Louisiana, and it was a female friend of a friend.

Oh, and did you know that the colored stripes at the bottom of toothpaste tubes indicate what kind of chemicals are found in your toothpaste?!?

The best is whenever the link is from something like "the onion" or "fakesportscenter.com" or some shite like that

"Tony Romo caught fricking a bag of Cheetos!"

With the comment "wow I can't believe this. Some sick people in this world."

I just get tired of seeing shite like:

quote:

"This woman gave a homeless man 20 dollars. What he does next will blow your mind."
