I just snagged one for cheap off of the fB marketplace. I've heard great things about them. Anybody got any tips?

I had one. They work great. I was honestly shocked at how much smoke flavor it can impart in a few hours.
The key is to keep it closed. It works by convection and the smoke stays nice and sealed in.

Yes, love it. Think the standard is 7mins cook time per lb of meat. Do not open at all until time is up. Always use match light charcoal.

I've never heard of these. Looks interesting.

Love mine. Chickens usually fall apart, may want to tie a string around them.

It works really well, basically an oven. If you want to impart some smoke flavor make sure you put some woodchips on the inside.

Not a bad idea... Wonder if it would be a good option for a Thanksgiving turkey (specifically size wise and cook time)?

Thanks for the reminder that my brother "borrowed" mine. Best damn thanksgiving turkey ever comes out of one of those.

Only way we do ours is with wood chips in bottom. Amazing smoked flavor. Have done turkey, chicken, ribs, brisket all are awesome. And best thing is you dont have to watch over it, turn the meat, check it, nothing. Put wood chips in, toss match light charcoal. See how much food weughs and multiply x 7. Close lid, light, drink beer and open up when time is up

So you don't have to worry about temp control? You just keep adding more charcoal as needed?

I've been wanting one for a couple of years. The owner was at stine mark serving food samples cooked on one and it was amazing.
