Since airborne biological agents such as bacteria or viruses are particles, they can be filtered by particulate respirators.

Read the exact words the CDC wrote.

“Can be”.

Not “Are”.

Not “completely filtered”.

Just “can be”. The doctor in the video explained it with his analogy about sand thrown against a chain link fence.

He is 100% correct. I wear a mask during clinic, but I immediately take it off for patients I know well.

in March of 2020, Fauci, the CDC, and the WHO also agreed masks were nothing more than a placebo.

LINK

quote:

When it comes to preventing coronavirus, public health officials have been clear: Healthy people do not need to wear a face mask to protect themselves from COVID-19.

quote:

"There's no reason to be walking around with a mask," infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told 60 Minutes.

While masks may block some droplets, Fauci said, they do not provide the level of protection people think they do. Wearing a mask may also have unintended consequences: People who wear masks tend to touch their face more often to adjust them, which can spread germs from their hands.

But there is another risk to healthy people buying disposable masks as a precaution. The price of face masks is surging, and Prestige Ameritech, the nation's largest surgical mask manufacturer, is now struggling to keep up with the increased demand.

"It could lead to a shortage of masks for the people who really need it," Fauci said.

quote:

For healthy people, both the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend they wear masks only when taking care of those who are sick or suspected of having the virus.

For those who do need to wear a mask, the WHO emphasizes the proper way of wearing one: put the mask on with clean hands; remove it from behind without touching the front; wash hands immediately after removing it; dispose of it properly; and never reuse a single-use mask.

It’s like putting up a chainlink fence to keep out mosquitoes.

Retarded children and their simple-minded first page Google result parroting. Viruses require sub-0.1 micron fitration, there is nothing short of NBC and SCBA-type gear that provides that level of protection. Commercially produced N95, P99, etc. respirators loose upwards of 75% of their rated effectiveness with improper fitting or structural damage through normal use if as little as 2% of the filtration area is compromised.

And people will argue that "we've learned things" and "science advances" BUT if you have a NOVEL FREAKING VIRUS THAT PEOPLE ARE "DROPPING DEAD IN THE STREETS", isn't THAT the time (at the beginning when you DON'T know what's up) to make masks mandatory?

And yes they wanted the "good ones" for medical staff .. I get it .. but if a face diaper is good now it was good then.

These people are all nuts. I wear a mask to get my nails done because they won't let me in without one .. very seldom more than there do I wear one.

Edit - I'd likely be more ok with wearing one if it had been said from the beginning. But four months into it was freaking dumb.

To those morons i would ask what makes more logical sense.

That your shitty cloth mask or gator doesn't really do much, and you touching it, and fidgeting with it constantly, and wearing it improperly negates any protection it might serve...

or

Masks save lives...so much so, that you now have to wear 2 and 3 masks. And your mask works so well, you still have to stay 6 feet apart. And your mask is such a great barrier, that you have to wear one to physically walk in a restaurant, but not when you sit down.

Been trying to explain this to my fear-obsessed wife (no pics) since this started. Those paper masks are a complete and total joke. They are worthless.

My family doctor told me the same exact thing.

Mine did too. Said he wore one around the office to keep the nurses from bitching at him.
