The idea of him lurking on TD until he sees a thread about toilets, bathrooms or toilet paper is hilarious.

My new favorite poster.

My mom stocks the bathroom in the house that used to be mine with awful TP because I'm rarely home.

Its translucent when dry its so thin.

Bothers me so much when I sit and forget to get good stuff.

From the wiki page in French on the history of Papier Toilette

"....bâtons en bois de 20 à 25 cm de longueur servant à nettoyer le canal anal aussi bien interne qu'externe."

Even with my shitty French this means something about a wooden stick to wipe arse.

SMDH, that's bad. There's an image too. Not all antiques are desirable.

I used to steal rolls of tp from the CCs bathroom. Saved tens of dollars in college from that.

It looks like the stick was used to hold some other material. Originally seaweed, later paper.

Other methods were leaves, grass, wool, water, sponges, etc.

I occasionally do and sometimes I'll only get like 4 rolls. Thank god for pooping at work so I can not run out at home and even that is the cheap 1 ply TP!

My parents do.

Sometimes you can just get a lot and wad it up...but nice TP can do its job with way less.

Our main restroom does. The handicap is much softer. Guess where I go without regrets?
