I worked at a JC Penney a couple summers away from college. Since one of the shipping unpackers was a smoking hot single mom with a rack to turn Jessica Simpson green with envy I spent time hanging out around the incoming clothes. Ever since then I ALWAYS wash clothes before wearing.

You got no idea what comes outta those boxes of clothes besides the clothes. It's kinda the same principal of working restaurants and never eating there again. I've seen dead snakes, dead mice, live mice, spiders, roaches, centipedes, millipedes, what I hope was dirt, smells so bad you grab a mask, a couple desiccated fingers. The list is really long of stuff that COMMONLY comes shipped from overseas in our clothing.

I mean I understand stuff can be gross. But everything you touch in life can be thought of that way. How many people don't wash their hands and touch the same door knob as you. How many times do you handle your shoes and not wash your hands without realizing you walked on the piss soaked bathroom floor at work. I mean stuff is gross, but in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. I'm not washing clothes on the off chance it touched something gross when I would absolutely not ever know otherwise.

Paige, I ALWAYS follow instructions explicitly-

Twist to Open for a Beer?

It's a lot more dull here without your daily aural sex updates.

Hope you're good!

Always. You never know what sort of DDT or crazy chemicals those Asians use in their factories.

Usually wash my new stuff. When I was younger there were occasions when I bought items that I wanted to wear immediately. Don't do that too often now because I don't really get too excited about new clothes. Most of the stuff I buy does smell funny before it's washed. No need to wash white socks before wearing but I do like to wash dress socks before wearing them. Suits, jackets and pants that have to be dry cleaned I will wear off the rack unless they are wrinkled or smell bad.
