This seems like a more elegant option but I wonder about day to day with cards in the mix. Does it damage the cards?

Where do I put my business cards? Separate holder?

I was given a nice one as a graduation present but didn't find it feasible 20 years ago. I still have it in the box.

I suppose it wouldn't really work now with no one having cash.

The real issue is having your ID and credit cards with the clip.

Though the ID doesn't actually matter it seems

gotta have it to drive or to check into a hotel, etc. so it would be pretty important that I carry that.

I had been a wallet man for my whole adult life until about a year ago when I shifted to a money clip. I'm liking it. I should have done that shat years ago.

The money clip I have has 2 pockets - 1 one the front and 1 on the back - and I carry my license, insurance card and two credit cards. I could probably carry 2 more more cards comfortably, but I have found I don't need to.

I have the same type clip. A pocket in the front with a clear facing for my license and a pocket in the back for the few cards I carry. I don't see how men that carry a traditional billfold/wallet sit on it all day. I tried but it drove me crazy

I just got a minimalist wallet. It holds 10 cards, cash, and a spare house key. Perfect for going out drinking. And I usually have too much shite in my pockets anyways.

Been using the clip with a pocket for twenty years. Much more comfortable. Dillard's has them.

I use a Ridge wallet and have been pleased with it.

I have the elastic band version in lieu of the clip version. I carry a few business cards in a separate business card holder in the same pocket.

I did for years but it's just easier to keep everything - money, drivers license, condoms, etc., in one place...the wallet.

There's a middle ground called the Money Clamp. If you've been a wallet guy, they can help with transition.

I made the switch because I was wearing squares in the arse of expensive (sometimes bespoke) suit pants. I needed to get rid of the bifold wallet and move to something for front pocket.

I can't say that I like it as much, but I'm also not wearing my pants out.
