Sleeping baby in the car while I’m filling up and left it running. What do y’all baws do?

Would you rather your baby sweat or possibly get blown up?
It’s really up to you but that’s the risks.

What’s the worst that could happen?

I have gotten in the habit of leaving the vehicle on when I fill up.
I really makes me feel alive with all the danger I have read about on Facebook.
Living on the edge.

Fill up 5 gallon can while vehicle still running. Then fill up when you get home. Problem solved.

My hybrid turns itself off while all the accessories operate at full power.

When you are releasing a whole shitload of flammable vapors around your car, I think it only makes sense to get rid of the obvious ignition sources while doing so.

I turn off ignition but leave key in on position. Have loved watching the needle move up since I was a little kid and my dad filled the car.

I turn it off just out of habit but I heard it’s actually fine to fill it up while running.
I fill up my Honda generator while running all the time, so I don’t know if the same risks are involved.

I've been driving 25 years, never take my vehicle off to fill up.

Turn it off, because I'm going to leave it parked there while I go in the store after I fill up.

How is that different than starting your car 1 second later or the car next to you starting up?

I turn it off. Being outside for a few minutes isn't a huge inconvenience for me. Maybe you shouldn't wait until your tank is empty to get gas then you wouldn't have to fill up with your child in the car.

It’s too damn hot to turn the AC . I like to see if I can hotbox a cig with the windows up and beat the gas pump.
