Worked int he service industry myself, albeit on my own terms.
That being said, sure, I'd tip them or not depending on the ride.

They run on pennies. If you don’t tip, they get paid $h!t. do your part for the work they do, provided they do a decent job.

Depends on how hard it is to hail one, and how hard the trip is. I have been known to tip up to $10 on a ride

It’s never enough huh? Why do you think Uber raised its prices? Stop complaining about the wages of drivers who choose to work for that company. Yeah, some cases they have no other option, but it’s still their choice at the end of the day. You’re just asking for the price of the service to go up.

I’ve always tipped in cash. Now, o have a local Uber driver who I use off Uber. Works out better.

Used to and gladly still will if they do a good job, but now you can’t even get an Uber!

I live close to the airport but not close enough to walk. Still like 2.5 miles.
Anyway. I could not get an inner or lyft the other day.
I finally got one after panicking and having 5 others cancel. I have that guy $20 cash the second I got in. The ride was $7 and I typed another $5 on the app.

I always tip because I'm grateful when someone's there to pick me up at DCA, even late at night, so I don't have to take Metro.
