Do you tip, how much for food delivery?

Last night was at a friend's house and we ordered Chinese food delivery from Waitr. She ordered and paid for order on her account. When the delivery girl knocked on the door, I answered and took the food and tipped her $4. (All I had on me was a twenty and 4 one dollar bills).
I told my friend that I tipped the delivery already, not to add a tip on her app. She told me that she never tips food delivery, Uber, Lyft, etc. And she also said that $4 was too much to tip, she only be a dollar or two. I never use any of the food delivery apps. What says the OT on the proper tip, if any, for food delivery?

$2 for JJ, $5 for pizza, 1000 yuans for Chinese.

I always tip delivery. Usually $5 for a couple of pizzas or Chinese food. I've never used Waitr or one of those apps but I imagine I'd tip about the same.

I usually tip on the App. 15%..

4-5 bucks for standard delivery. If it is JJ on a bike delivering a 6 dollar sandwich, couple bucks.
If it's a larger order, beyond a couple meals/pizzas, then more like 20% of the order.

Yes. $3 is fairly standard for pizza delivery, Waitr and the like. I'll adjust it accordingly if the weather is bad or the order is fairly large.

she also said that $4 was too much to tip,
I can't think of a situation where $4 is "too much tip"

Seriously, frick waitr
They already pocket 25-30% of the total price of the order, then take an additional amount for a delivery fee, then ask you for an additional tip.

Your friend is trashy.

I tip $5 on Waitr as well. The cost of the food I ordered should not affect the tip the driver gets. If anything, it should be the distance they had to travel.

You realize you tip BEFORE on Waitr

What about uber? Do you usually add a tip because I never do
