Do you think the Camaro comes back after this model?

I was surprised to read that it is 3rd in pony car sales behind the approaching 12 year old Challenger.

I don’t think so. Muscle cars are no longer a thing for younger consumers.

Probably as a crossover SUV like the corvette plans.

The white trash car market is down right now

Douche personified. Worst of the three by far . Should’ve just replicated Z28

It will come back.

According to the “Godfather” of the F-Body Camaro, Mr. Scott Settlemire, General Motors is presently working on both of the next two generations of Chevrolet Camaro, meaning that by the time the seventh-generation pony car is launched three or four years from now, the eighth-generation car could already be half-formed.
More importantly, Settlemire’s statement suggests that the Chevrolet Camaro is here to stay – at least for a further two generations. Plans change and programs get canceled, of course, but as of right now, it looks like GM is planning to continue producing its hallmark pony car for some time.
Settlemire – a.k.a. the “Fbodfather” – made mention of the seventh- and eighth-generation Camaro models during a recent appearance on the Camaro Show podcast, recorded at CamaroFest VIII. He suggested that looking two generations ahead with the Camaro had become necessary due to Corporate Average Fuel Economy regulations. It’s uncertain whether the Trump administration’s recent moves to freeze the federal fuel economy standards will have any effect on GM’s development timeline for the Camaro and other vehicles.

The snowflake generation is more into Subarus & Kia's

I just wish one of the companies would make a "new" muscle car that had the body of one of their 60s/70s models, just with new everything else.

Nothing is more snowflake than thinking about what others purchase.
Kia and Suburu are brands. Are you pretending that all Chevy cars are muscle. Lol
Suburu WRX and Kia Stinger make you look dumb.

Yeah but not everybody has an 812 superfast or a Mclaren p1.
Which of those do you own?

You clearly have not seen the LSU FB Building's parking lot

Pish posh, the real ballers have allocations for a McLaren Senna and/or a Ferrari F90 Stradale.
While I have preferred Mustangs my whole life I really haven't cared much for Pony cars built after 1972 but in recent years some of the performance versions have been very cool. Out of all of them, the Camaro ZL1 1LE was one of the few I would actually drive. The car is a track monster.
I have a feeling it will be a while before the Camaro is back, if ever, maybe as an EV.

If they don't figure out a way to keep them from rattling apart after 18 months, no.

Chevy should have only made one package - SS - and kept it at that. Why people spend the money on the lower packages is beyond me.

Their numbers are propped up by college boosters.

It is because that is the money they have to spend, low trim level Pony cars have always driven the market and allowed things like the Shelby GT500 and ZL1 1LE to be built. It isn't just pedestrian marques either BMW has to sell a lot of 330s and 430s to be able to build the M3 and M4 and Porsche has to sell a lot of 911 C2s to build the GT3 and GT2 RS.

Yes, like the Camaro with the 69 body
Posted on 10/14/19 at 8:01 pm to MLCLyons
I told my son that recently. Personally, I think making modern cars on the old body style would sell like hell. Everything today generic and boring.
