Yep. Island nation, completely dependent on the global economy for its income...........and votes to isolate itself from its income, smart.
The London FTSE stock index (comparable to the S&P 500 index in the U.S.A.) closed at 6,338 the day before the Brexit vote.

Right now the FTSE is at 7,502, UP over 18% since the day before the Brexit vote.
Explain to me again how horrible the economic outlook is for Great Britain.

It was a long term, existential move. In order to believe it's a regretful decision you would have to believe the EU is going to be a long term, stable institution. I would say that's highly in doubt at the moment.

The Brits decided to put cultural preservation and more power of self-governance over short term economics. I applaud them for the move

A few years ago I had to work in Detroit. There were places that cops wouldn't even go to. The Detroit police departments website also had a warning posted about entering city limits at your own risk.

Cops have to go into every area. Some have policies about only having a patrol car with 2 cops in that area, they still have to patrol it.

Short term, yes it will go through adjustments. But the EU will fail and the UK will be a large step ahead.

I'm not a First Responder but hopefully I could convince polis #2 (pictured R) to get me there.

Hell, who am I kidding, #1 would work OK too. 2,2,1,2,1,2...

The ones that were against it are probably still against it.

The ones that supported it are probably still in support of it.

There were going to be consequences, its not like it was all positive.

The only economies worth anything in Europe right now are Germany and Britain (Ireland too), and everyone else was leaching off of those two. Brits were tired of it and they had a way out, Germany's way out is not as easy considering they are in the middle of everyone else.

Everyone fleeing is due to things in the short term being much easier to continue working with the EU. Once Britain gets it all figured out, many of those jobs will likely return.

Pretty sure they are happy not having to comply with quotas for Muslim infiltration/invasion.

Because they havent implemented it yet. The current leadership knows exactly what will happen when (if, I dont think they will) they leave the EU.

Having a foreign body dictate the terms of your country's immigration or economic policy is fricking twisted as hell.

So you believe stock investors don't read the news and they live in a vacuum oblivious to future events that will impact their investment's value?

Their stock market is up 28% since Brexit...amazingly none of the sky is falling articles mention that fact. The GBP is down since 13% since Brexit, but is up over 10% for all of 2017.

The financial industry in London is adamantly against Brexit. They are like the rich coastal Democrats in the US in the sense that they control the media narrative.

You beat me to it. Yeah, the poor, poor Brits. The Brexit will help them out a lot in the long run. Their export products being priced in a GBP that will likely have a lower value compared to the Euro than if they remained in the EU will be very helpful. The only way the EU will be able to keep Brit products from taking market share from the Germans/French will be punitive tariffs.

You just proved you're out of touch with the Brexit events.

The British Prime Minister invoked Article 50 on March 29, 2017 notifying the EU that GB was withdrawing from the EU. The timeline for implementing withdrawal is two years.

No one ever said it would be a "piece of cake." The EU's own rules make it difficult for a member to withdraw. New trade and labor rules must be agreed to. That's why Article 50 allows 2 years for implementation.

But nice try at trying to distract from your earlier ignorant statement about the UK's economy going down.
