Several places in Addison out side of Dallas allows it. Lots of places outside of the beltway allow it. Near our office off 90 there are plenty.

Is Lewisville , TX one of them still? Great memories of getting tossed after work at Twin Peaks & being able to smoke inside mackin' on racks.

Those girls were not shy about after hours, for sho. Good times

It's banned statewide here in NC and I love it.

Yep, I'm all for anything that shames smokers into quitting until it's completely gone. It's a fricking nasty habit that we all have to deal with because you are such a selfish prick. What if I walked around spraying water out of my mouth into people's faces?

Don't worry my friend. This is a very winnable war, and in the end all will be the victors.

Can't tell you how much more pleasant it is going out without the trash smoking inside every place you go.

If I'm walking on the sidewalk behind someone that lights up, I'll cross to the other side of the street.

I'd be all for smoking being banned in all public places. Inside or out.

Also, if you are under 40 and smoke I automatically deduct intelligence points from you.

Oh I'm with you. It is outrageous that in 2017 people still smoke inside.

Ate lunch yesterday and some old dried up prune faced bitch was smoking 2 feet from the door. Every time someone came in they dragged some of her stinky smoke inside. It was disgusting.

I would gladly vote to put a $20 per pack tax on cigarettes.

People who want to ban smoking are such unAmerican pussies.

Not a smoker, never was, but the over the top reactions I often see from these pink-lungs are more irritating than the smokers who "offend" them. You'd swear someone sprayed them in the eyes with lemon juice and released a freight load of steaming fish heads... fanning their face as if that little wisp of smoke will exterminate all life in the building. ....plenty of us non-smokers in the 70's and 80's but you didn't see anyone reacting like these drama twerps.

I know it has been banned in Orleans Parish, but do you think smoking will be banned in most places in 10 years? How much further does the war on smoking have? States around the country are considering raising taxes on tobacco, increasing smoking age of 21, and corporations such as Walgreens are considering not selling tobacco anymore. It is impressive that Louisiana banned smoking in restaurants several years ago, while other states haven't done it yet such as Texas.

It already is banned in most places

In 2013 17% of the population smoked. Bars or anywhere that allows people to smoke is favoriting a minority of the population. I wonder how many people don't go to bars, etc because of the smoke?

That's a larger % of the population then black people and look how we cater to them as a minority.

Bars and restaurants and any private business should be allowed to choose if they want smoking allowed or not. The government shouldn't be telling businesses that they can't allow something legal in their business...

The more important question is why does the SEC allow smoking inside football venues (defined areas) and not drinking alcohol?

It's also the responsibility of the business owner to provide a safe work environment for their employees.
