I’ve been banned twice and warned a few times. First ban was in my early days and I made a kinda racist joke, not realizing it was a huge no no. Banned, no warning.
Second time banned over at the Pt board. I’m sure someone RA’d. It was for calling another poster crazy for believing some wild conspiracy theory stuff. No warning, banned for a long time. Seemed like a year or more.

The warnings were also from the PT board, basically telling me to tone it down and let it go.

I’d like the ability to reply to PMs with a paper trail.

Seriously though, the PT warnings are ridiculous. I got banned for a month or so because of something I said there because I was “trolling”. The issue is that I wasn’t trolling, I just had an opinion that place didn’t like.

I was banned for over a year if not more without warning

I got banned a few years back for saying that HBCUs should be closed. Weird shite.

Though it’s less cutting slack and more that there is an overall body of work to consider. If a brand new poster comes in and stirs up shite, you ban them immediately because they have only shown a propensity to be a problem. This is sound logic.

I've been here for awhile, never been banned or received a warning. I did have a post deleted once, and still don't understand why. I was given an explanation that basically implied I exceeded my professional expertise on a subject because I wasn't an expert in the matter. Like a layperson giving legal advice or something. Which is not what I was doing.

Most of my warnings have been from comments I've made about....those people, And I'm probably one of the most vocal defenders of said country.
