I really enjoyed the earlier ones, I still buy the new ones but I always find myself still popping in the old ones when I do play.

Im 36 with 2 kids and I still play about 8-12 hours a week. I have given up on playing the long RPGs though. I wait until after the kids are asleep and play for a few hours. I'm lucky my SO also plays so we feed each others addiction nicely.

Okay frick this. I'm moving my son's 360 from his room to my tv downstairs and i'm gonna start playing on my big tv in the living room. He don't fricking play it anyhow.

I think that's why I never think to play anymore myself.

What's a good game for an old guy who likes SINGLE-player FPS, RPGs, and shite like that? I got the kids a big arse HD for that thing last xmas to download new games and shite. So a downloadable game would be fun too if anyone has suggestions.

I'm thinking Skyrim or GTA5.

First off, you gotta upgrade your console.

I don't see wasting 2hrs playing a game a couple of times a week any different than wasting a few hours on Facebook, yet gaming is often considered juvenile.

I play Madden/NCAA every now and then, and dabble with Call of Duty from time to time.

In my 40's and play regularly and I will be one of the wrinkly old fricks playing games one day. Doesn't prevent me from doing other things that I enjoy.

I go through cycles. I played the crap out of Destiny for the last 4 months. Now, I just play a couple of hours a week.

I stopped playing a couple of years after the PS3/360 came out. I had just started college when I quit, but I don't think that had anything to do with it. I basically just got tired of playing the same rehashed games over and over, so I sold my PS3 and 360 after a couple of years due to lack of use.

It seemed like up through the PS2/XBOX generation of consoles, there was always a good mix of different game types. Platformers, shooters, puzzle games, decent console RPG's, etc. Then, starting with the XBOX 360 generation, most big name games just became too similar. The graphics were better, but the innovation stopped. More and more games were either standard FPS rehashes or basically bad movies with boring quick time events in-between long arse cutscenes.

I even switched to the Wii for a brief period, and Nintendo does still make some fun games (although they rehash their old shite even more than everyone else does), but they only release like one game a year which just wasn't fast enough to keep me hooked on gaming as a hobby.

Now I play indie games on the PC from time to time, and occasionally I'll start playing a game on my phone, but I definitely don't follow gaming news or anything like I did when I was a kid.

I play now more than ever. In recent years I've learned a lot about how games are made and it really makes you appreciate how much work goes in to one. Of course you have the technical aspects of it, then you have to design character models and every square inch of the environment, create hours of music, write a story with character development, record voice actors, test for bugs, then on top of all that you have to make sure the game is somehow innovative and fun to play. It really is the most exhausting and impressive artform

If you like single player FPS with RPG elements definitely get Deus EX (Human Revolution), Far Cry 3 or 4. GTA5 is great too. My favorite single player FPS on XBox One is Wolfenstein The New Order. Its on 360 too but I'm not sure how good it is.If you can afford to trade in your 360 towards an XBox One they are making XBox 360 games backwards compatible later this year.

I'm 36 and still play occasionally. I'll get into a kick for a few days every couple months. I can't stand multiplayer and don't really get the appeal of talking to strangers while I'm playing, so I mostly stick to Fallout, New Vegas, Skyrim, and NCAA '12. I'll probably upgrade to the new Xbox soon, but it's been hard to justify considering how little I play.

About to turn 30, wife and 7 month old, and I still play. When they go to sleep at night I stay up and play. I still do what I need to during the day but I'm far more relaxed when I play.

54 and still playing.
Mike try Mass Effect Trilogy, Bioshock 1and 2, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Skyrim and GTA5 are also good choices.
