Simple. I ain’t paying $50-$75 a week for somebody to do something I can do. Good exercise also takes me about an hour and a half with a push mower.

I source that out. However, I take care of the leaves in the fall which can be an expensive if you source it out in the northeast

I keep mowing my own yards and pastures. Although I have a guy making hay on the pastures so I don't have to cut them as often. Also have a AC cab tractor and nice ZTRs. Makes a huge difference.

I pay someone. I am not paying for the mowing, I'm paying for more free time on the weekends.

So you never eat at restaurants? You can cook it yourself.

I used to push mow my 1/2 acre with designs and male it all fancy. Eventually in my mid 30s i came to terms with the fact that people just hold it against you if they think you do things better or are living better than them.

Do it for exercise and pleasure. Wife begs me to hire it out but it’s my peace time.

Hired it out 20 years ago.

I like fixing things; I can mend anything but a broken heart.

I like not having to deal with trimming, edging, etc.

Hybrid here - Pay someone to cut the front where everyone passes in the neighborhood. I take care of the back.

I enjoy cutting my own grass. I don’t trust anyone to cut my grass anyway and don’t want ruts in my lawn from a riding mower. My lawn is immaculate.

I use a zero turn and the only physical part is landscaping maintenance, weed eating, edging and shrub trimming. I’m 73 and still do it myself. I like outdoors even in the heat.

Enjoy cutting mines. My son will help out when I’m offshore and it’s growing out of control season. 4 plus acres.

When my kids were little, I mowed the grass.

When I my son was old enough, about 11 or 12, he mowed the grass.

When my son graduated and moved out, now Mexicans mow my grass.

I’ll probably have them come for one more last mow of the season next week before the yard goes dormant until the spring.

I’m retired now so I have the time to maintain my yard. I find it therapeutic. My FIL who is 90 finally gave up cutting his grass.

I just got tired of it.

With all my kids weekend games and how busy the week is, i didn’t want to use what chill time i had to have to cut the grass.

Then you gotta deal with equipment upkeep.

I’m perfectly fine not having to do it
