Consider the customer demographic. Makes sense that they check. Kind of like a police roadblock to check licenses, a deterrent to the deviant. Doesn’t bother me, not threatened by it.

You do realize that Target and Walmart still sell the same cheap, Chinese-made shite, right?

You should, you look suspicious if you avoid it.

If I got to the WM WMT and the greeter is white, they don't bother me.
If I go to the Monroe WMT and the greeter is black, they always check me.

Not sure what they think is worth stealing at WMT.

I usually hand it to them and keep walking.

Actually stopped for them earlier this week. Had kids buying LEGOs which didn’t fit in the bags. Anyway, we went through self checkout and through the receipt checker, and no one thought to remove the security device wrapped around the LEGO box. Basically four wires going around the box with some kind of alarm holding the wires together. Got the box home before realizing it was alarmed. Had kids cut that shite off outside. They said it made some noise but nothing too loud.

Big box discount store snobbery baffles me too.

Love the self checkout. Saves money. You steal shite from the Walmarks baw?

Negative, it’s like payment for a mini part time job checking my own groceries.
Saves Walmart money too not having to pay someone to run a register.

I haven't had anyone ask for a long time. What walmart are you going to?

Absolutely not. Once I purchase those items it becomes my property as well as the receipt. Whenever they ask I just keep walking.

Don’t ever tell a cop that. That’s Public Intimidation, a felony.

I’m not saying it should be or that you’re wrong, I’m just making a PSA that just those words to an actual cop is a felony.

Have you ever been into a Walmart? Have you ever been into a Target?

I can’t tell you the last time I stepped foot inside of a Walmart, I’ll “waste” money for a better shopping experience.

If they ask, sure, why not? I'm not stealing. I don't however have that issue anymore, I order and pick-up.

This is why we can’t have nice things and why they ask for receipts

A Louisiana law that makes it a crime to threaten a public official is overly broad and thus unconstitutional, a federal appeals court has ruled.

"Because the meaning of 'threat' is broad enough to sweep in threats to take lawful, peaceful actions — such as threats to sue a police officer or challenge an incumbent officeholder — (the law) is unconstitutionally overbroad," according to an opinion published Friday by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

No it is not and the courts have been clear on the matter.

And why the citizens of LA did not vote out every shitstain that thought this was a good idea is beyond my obviously limited level of understanding.
