I rinse yes...but not too much,
I like to think of the dishwasher as also a sterilizer for dishes...all the food and germs...
I certainly hope restaurants use hot water/dishwashers to clean the dishes

Yes. That can lead to a stopped up drain if you don’t. Rinse them in the disposable side of the sink.

Yes, as any animal can just toss dirty dishes into the washer.

Besides it’s not that difficult to add one later.
Oh, no, it's simple. Except for the cutting out existing cabinets, running electricity to it, plumbing water to it, plumbing drainage from it, fitting it into the cutout, leveling it, squaring it, rebuilding base cabinets to fill the width of the missing cabinet over 24 inches and fitting trim.
Also, a dishwasher cutout is just over 24 inches wide. If your cabinets aren't a multiple of 12" wide...

I don't have a dishwasher. I hand wash everything.

I have a phobia with sticking my hands in sink full of dirty water. I rinse only.

My wife says this about me. My parents got divorced when I was a kid and I lived in a bachelor pad with my dad. She says that I'm untrainable

Well obviously you have other redeeming qualities
And I didn’t mean that sexually. You seem to be a good husband and dad.

So did I. It doesn’t get the job done.

Well shite....
I guess I’m glade I thought ahead and put a 24 inch cabinet right next to the kitchen sink that already has power for the ice maker, water and drain right there! Haha

No, my maid does that stuff.

My mother never did for this very reason. She scrapped the plates and in they went. She didn’t give a shite if the old man had to buy her a new dishwasher every few years.

Of course, it's disgusting not to.
