I've heard of negotiating a lot of places, never at a pharmacy. Maybe some shady local store, but not at a chain

Cpl of times. But only if paying cash.
If using insurance I believe the price is set and it was covered anyway so I only pay a copay or %.
I've been using the same mom and pop joint for 20+ years though so they typically already give me the cheapest price. I still use them now even though they are about half hour out of the way.
Best advice when dealing with pharmacies is to find a mom and pop and stick with them. Which I try to do that with any businesses I can actually.

We do not take discount cards except from a manufacturer....and you cannot negotiate a price....lol

I have a family member who buys a drug that costs over $300, but Blue Cross covers enough to knock it down to about $120 out of pocket. But if the customer also uses a manufacturers coupon that you get online, out of pocket is only $5.
I might not believe it if I hadn't seen the purchase myself. Those online coupons can save big $$$.

There are lots of situations where the insurance denies coverage or delays paying for something needed urgently.

We we always make sure people get the coupons for high copays. I get new patients all the time that never knew, and wasted hundreds a year before they knew $50 could've been $3!

Do you have an email you wouldn't mind giving out so I can send a med list? My dad is on a ton of medication, and doesn't have insurance because SS denied his disability claim. Which we're hoping the judge overturns soon.
He is type 2 diabetic, has had a series of mini to medium strokes, and has Trigeminal Neuralgia. All of which cause his blood pressure to be out of sight.
I would really love to be able to save my parents some money. He can't work, and my mom can only work part time because she has to help take care of him.
I'll make it up to you for your time. Because the list is over 20 medications....
