A lot of uneducated trash in BR still don’t buckle up their kids. They’ll be driving a car from the 80s or 90s and you see the kids through the back window jumping around and doing all kinds of crap. Makes you want to pull them over and strangle the parent

It's an automatic action for us. However, my mom drove a steel tank. Not one of these aluminum plastic cars designed to crumble on impact and absorb the energy. I remember her putting on breaks suddenly and tumbling into floorboard. Fun times.

The OP is pretty much my own story regarding seatbelts

It pretty much happens with me without any thought. I just sort of buckle the kids up and then do that for myself

They also drove around solid steel land boats.

I don’t know how old you are, but everyone in the 80’s knew smoking was bad and still did it around their kids.

Even unbuckled Gnomes can become a flying projectile in an accident.

Growing up my parents never made us buckle
Is this the explanation for all the brain-damaged crap you post on TD? Or, like Lady Gaga, were you born that way?

I do without question. I was in a bad accident as a kid in the 80’s and wasn’t buckled. Seat belt would have saved me from having broken bones.

Yes my boys are all over the age of 20 now and buckeling up is just a way of life to them.
Yesterday I called the Police and reported a car that did not have a little girl (~4 yr old) buckeled in. I started to mind my own business and not call it in but did it anyway.

Yeah and I remember sitting in the front seat when I was 3 and the seat belt not even fitting me. Things change.

I still don’t understand the downvoted in this thread. 63 people so far are against buckling?
