I hat when not enough of the cake has been eaten to fit the knife.

I use a plastic knife so i can just throw it away after each serving. The wife (no pics) says that I am lazy

you know... there's a whole middle part of the cake carved out, most of the time, sufficient enough to leave a knife there whether or a not a piece has been eaten. Just some food for thought
