Have you been to Lake Tuscaloosa and the area around North River Country Club? It’s a really pretty area with nice hills and lots of hiking areas. I wouldn’t say it’s miles behind Baton Rouge.

See this is what I wanna say but when I do it comes out "You're a retarded frickin frick."

So yea Hat Tricks. What Reality Tiger said.

My favorite debate/arguing thingy these retards say is shite like:

"Baton Rouge is just Beaumont with a Major Flagship University."

"Baton Rouge is just like Jackson without LSU."

That is the some absurd frickin illogical bullshite thought process. It makes them look like Uncle Rico when he says, "If coach woulda put me in the 4th quarter, we coulda been state champions."
Yea, let's alter reality to fit your agenda, ya dumb fricks.

Get off my Lawn(Baton Rouge) if ya don't like it. And leave that LSU Degree here and you go to Jackson State or Lamar, ya frickin cockmonkeys.

This is so ignorant. The best parts of BR other than LSU are mid city, southdowns, and downtown. None of which are located in St. George.

No. But I have been to Tunica Hills and the hiking/biking trails outside St. Francisville. I don’t care for Tuscaloosa, or really any part of Alabama other than Huntsville. I just think it’s laughable that every time a Gump comes over to the Tiger Rant or the OT to shite on Baton Rouge, so many of y’all join right in.

Northern Alabama is beautiful. I like the drive from Huntsville to Chattanooga.

Aren’t you planning on moving to Wyoming? I think I saw you mention that a couple of months ago.

I wouldn't mind moving to Montana at some point because I love the mountains and cooler climate.

I've got a kid almost in high school at this point though so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

My wife might be a problem there too. She's from Alabama but likes BR.

We just had our police chief ask the community to pray for a guy holed up in a house- who had just cranked off 36 rounds at his officers.

Giving the criminal element the benefit of the doubt over the police by default is a disaster in the making.

This town is devolving. When the majority of the tax base breaks away, will that make things better- or worse? I think I'll go with the latter.

Candidly, no. Baton Rouge is the perfect example of a city whose potential was never developed due to poor management and forward thinking.

Baton Rouge's population exploded in the 1950s....arguably faster than city planning could have imagined. However, the response was piss-poor. Leaders never planned for the future, but rather were always in a "reactive" mode.

Baton Rouge really could have been one of the south's great cities...and had much going for it...IF IT HAD BEEN PLANNED CORRECTLY.

Rather, leaders simply let things happen unchecked and made stupid decisions. Rather than plan growth, pockets of residential and commercial growth developed based upon private developers. So instead of planned thoroughfares and roadways that maximized movement, they ended up sewing together all these developments in a patchwork of roadways that stiffled movement.

I-110 was an incredibly stupid idea, as it essentially gutted the community and the lead to other problems that I will not go in to.

BREC has been a money pit....rather than develop a large central park area, it would throw up two swing sets and a slide in every piece of worthless land someone would donate and call it a park.

The optimist in me thinks that Baton Rouge will eventually have its day....but the realist in me thinks we may be too far gone.

AT the end of the day...shithole? No....but no where near what it could have been

I’m not taking up for BR. It’s gotten consistently worse over the years. Just wonder why so many people are anchored to a place they hate so much. The pros outweigh the cons for me.

Yes. It is a fricking shithole. Were it not for LSU it would be unbearable.

This argument reminds me of rival fans saying shite like “Well if Fournette wouldn’t have broken that 80 yard TD run he only would’ve had 100 rushing yards”

7-8 home games a year. That's it. The rest of the time it's a shithole.
