Twice diagnosed sociopath, one said to a severe extent but that was probably because I didn't like him and threatened to cut his head off. Other shrink said to was of varying degrees depending on a litany of things.
Get back to me in 10 yrs on whether or not its beneficial.

My SIL should be the poster child! She was one of the ones that took all her money out of the bank in 2000. She thought I was hacking their computer from China when I worked there. She thinks that Entergy is spying on her when they installed the new digital meter bases. She called my cousin and wanted it removed. We can never have family get togethers because of her. She has to stir up shite.
I haven't spoken to her in 10yrs and if would have been home the day my mother died I probably would have beaten her to death.

I once shared a cell with a guy that killed an entire family. When the cops caught him he was walking down the street with an eleven year old girls head in one hand and a machete in the other. He had run out of shells and had to kill the last two with the machete.

I don't know if psychopath is a actual clinical condition. You seem to be describing more of a sociopath. And yes, I know one. My former business partner.

He was very soft-spoken and quiet kind of person. At first you'd never believe that he did it but eventually he'd say something that would leave you horrified. You'd pray then that they never let him out again. When I left the judge had declared a mistrial for some reason or another.
