Not up here in MA. A pack of them lured one of our local vets German Shepards by pretending to want to play - then the pack killed it.
They are much larger and much smarter up here than in the south IMHO.
Edit: almost had a coyote MUCH larger in size than a German Shepard grab one of our corgis out of our backyard once.

Yeah that’s not a coyote doofus.
The biggest coyote is still a good bit smaller than the smallest German Shepard.
